then you will love the author Bernard Cornwell!  Not a historian, but he does write fictions based on historical actors and events...one of my favorite authors!

    I've read one of his books - it was about the vikings invading England - I think it was "The Last Kingdom." I'll have to add some of his others to my summer reading list! :)
